Mum Kerry Richardson says:"Everywhere we go you can see people looking and you can tell they are dying to comment." Tiny twins Layton and Kaydon Richardson are officially one in a million after one was born black and the other one white. While Kaydon is more like his mum, who is mixed of English-Nigerian heritage, Layton is said to be the image of his dad, who is white, but is no longer in contact with the family. "When they were first born, no one really noticed anything unusual as they were both practically the same colour. "But over the last few months Layton has got lighter and blonder like his dad and Kaydon has gone darker like me." By a rare genetic chance the twin boys have a different skin colour which has been described by experts as a chance in a million. The brothers were born in the James Cook University Hospital on July 23, 2006 the same day Kerry's mother got married. International clinical geneticist Dr Stephen Withers said: "It's probably a million to one chance."
